Shakti Cocos B.V. as an independent company Since 1 January 2018, Shakti Cocos B.V. has been trading as an independent company. Before that Shakti Cocos B.V. produced coir products at proprietary factories in India and Sri Lanka and the marketing was done via MeeGaa Substrates B.V.
Shakti Cocos B.V. focuses on the production, product development and worldwide sales of coir substrates for all applications. The proprietary factories are located in the South East of India and in Sri Lanka. Shakti Cocos B.V. is a Dutch company with headquarters in Maasdijk, Netherlands.

Properties

Coir may serve as an excellent replacement for peat. In crops where it is important to keep the substrate (temporarily) dry, coir also ensures quick and effortless rewetting. Coir prevents water and fertilisers from being lost or pots from floating.
Good coir has the following properties:
