COMMON USES

  • In Orchards as a mulch. Also repels caterpillars, slugs & snails to a great degree.

  • As a pot liner for indoor & greenhouse plants ( Decorative & functional).

  • Pot bottom layering to improve drainage & prevent washout of potting soil.

  • To control excessive evaporation around newly established saplings in the field.

  • To insulate surface soil from both frost & heat.

  • Extensively used in Greenhouses as a ground cover for both insulation & drainage when placing re-potted plant pots.

  • Also used in sub-terrain drains to control erosion.

  • For compaction of mushy clay surfaces .

  • General insulation & Sound dampening for asphalt roadways.

  • Filtration in waste water & effluent treatment systems.
